1998 Operatic club celebrates birthday with Bugsy Malone Mid Devon Gazette

Young showbiz stars have wowed the crowds with a performance of Bugsy Malone.

During the production, Tiverton Junior Operatic Club celebrated the 10th anniversary of the National Operatic and Dramatic Association by cutting a celebration birthday cake.

Frank Burch, a founder member of Tiverton Amateur Operatic Society, cut the cake with his great granddaughter Rosie Vee.

"Mr. Burch's dedication to the society was awarded when he became a life member ", said vice-chairman Viv Curtis.

"This was Rosie's first time with the Juniors".

The next stop for the Tiverton Junior Operatic Club is the London Palladium in May to take part in the NODA centenary celebrations.
